The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium is located directly on Rarotonga’s best white sandy beach, Aroa Beach, on the island’s preferred sunshine southwest coast where guests can enjoy both all-day sun and sizzling tropical sunsets.

The Aroa Lagoonarium Marine Sanctuary, directly in front of The Rarotongan, offers the best snorkeling on the island, directly off the resort's secluded beach. As our in-house guest, you enjoy free snorkelling gear from our friendly Activities Team along with daily Fish Feeding, Snorkeling Lessons & Tours and our unique Night Snorkeling Tour. 

The all-tide lagoon is also perfect for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking, included as part of The Rarotongan's extensive FREE Daily Activities Programme for in-house guests. 

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium is located adjacent to our boutique adults-only sister resort, Sanctuary Rarotonga-on the beach (for guests aged 16 & over), just 10-12 minutes from Rarotonga International Airport, Avarua Town and close to island adventures, tours, cafes, restaurants, markets, shops & shows.
