A BIG BOLLYWOOD BASH!

A huge congratulations to Sheenal Chandra and Nilesh Prasad on saying “I do” on the white sandy shores beside the Lagoon of Love at The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium on Friday 12 July 2024.

The couple don’t do things by halves, they love to do things BIG! After having a big traditional Indian wedding in New Zealand, they were joined by over 40 close family and friends on Rarotonga for their big beach wedding. Guests witnessed the stunning bride make her entrance along the sandy aisle to Kina Grannis’ “Can’t Help Falling in Love” before the couple exchanged their solemn vows and sealed their union with the planting of their baby coconut palm ‘uto.

As their guests were enjoying pre-dinner drinks on the deck, the couple surprised them by cutting their big wedding cake (one tier, Pina Colada, other tier, Orange Mango, all smothered in Buttercream) with the shimmering Aroa Lagoon as their backdrop.

Everyone then tucked into a big banquet dinner complete with a big leg of New Zealand lamb slow-roasted with cumin, gamefish tuna steaks, herbed garlic prawns and pumpkin & island spinach lasagne for the vegetarian guests, all topped off with a lavish dessert buffet which included a big Bombe Alaska and sliced wedding cake.

The couple’s guests were then delighted to see the newlyweds trip the light fantastic to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” before the DJ got everyone boogying the night away including – of course! - the all-important favourite Bollywood songs.

Sheenal & Nilesh then treated their guests to a highlight of the night – a riveting Fire Dance Show on The Rarotongan’s Aroa Beach. After celebrating with their family and friends the newlyweds slipped away to delight in each other’s company on their dream Aitutaki honeymoon in an exclusive Overwater Bungalow at Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort Adults Only.

JOZZA & GAX CELEBRATE THEIR MAORI HERITAGE

Held on Aroa Beach at The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium on Friday 20 October 2023, the Seventh Heaven All-Inclusive Wedding of Chelsea Wara and Jozza Brown-Ngataki was a celebration of their Aotearoa New Zealand Maori heritage.

After sharing a Snickers shot with Dad, Jack, the stunning Bride, clothed in a traditional cloak, and her Father made their way along the sandy aisle towards her proud groom to the sounds of Eric Benét's “Spend My Life With You.”

The longtime couple, now hailing from Bracken Ridge, Queensland, Australia, were witnessed by 12 year old daughter Aysha and almost 60 whanau and friends when they pledged their love under the tropical sun beside the Lagoon of Love, Aroa Lagoon.

After pre-dinner drinks on the lagoon deck, their guests were greeted with a black & white themed Reception in Treetops Verandah Room before going on to feast on a traditional Umu Buffet Dinner of pork, lamb, beef and chicken slow-cooked all afternoon in the earthoven firepit by The Rarotongan’s pit-master, followed a bit later by their chocolate-buttercream wedding cake and spread of delicious desserts.

Regally seated in rattan Peacock Chairs at their Sweetheart Table, the couple witnessed a powerful Haka performance before everyone danced the night away to the DJ’s beats.
